Every insight states how sure it is — and why.
A confidence level is not a guarantee. It is an honest measure of how much the evidence agrees with itself: sample size, how recent it is, and how cleanly the signals point the same way.
High
Deep, recent, agreeing evidence. Read it with confidence.
Moderate
A clear lean, with some noise or a thinner sample behind it.
Low / too close
Signals conflict or evidence is thin. We say so, rather than guess.
Recency is weighted. A result from last week counts for more than one from two seasons ago, and conditions that resemble the upcoming match count for more than those that don't.
Signals must agree. When form, momentum, matchup, and surface point the same way, confidence rises. When they pull apart, it falls — and the insight says which way each is leaning.
We publish the uncertainty. A match we can't read clearly is labelled that way. Calling a coin-flip a lock would cost the one thing an insight product is built on: trust.
